Christina Sung- Lead Pastor

Pastor Christina grew up Buddhist in her native Korea and accepted Jesus as her Savior and Lord through Korean Christian friends when she was studying in Germany. She has earned a Doctorate, has been a candidate for election to the office of bishop and has spent the last three years in mission work in Israel. She has a great heart for Jesus and for the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Michael Bell - Ministry Assistant / Youth Leader

I came on staff as an assistant pastor in December of 2014. I enjoy the opportunities I get to preach in both of our services. I also enjoy serving through the worship band ministry in our 11am service. My other responsibilities include ministry to both our middle and high school students.

My great passion and desire is to see the people of God meet with Him by reading the Bible and asking the Holy Spirit to allow them to apply it to their lives.  I love to see believers who have a real desire to become disciples of Jesus Christ. As a teenager, I have always wanted to serve the Lord in the church and see Him change the lives of people.

I was born in Muscatine, IA and grew up south of the Quad Cities area in a rural farming community. I did spend a few years in the Chicago suburbs. My wife Christina and I have two boys Henry and Eli. I receive my Bachelor’s degree at Christian Life College in Mt. Prospect, IL.

In my free time I enjoy big and small adventures with my wife and kids. You might see me running through your neighborhood, as running is a favorite sport of mine. When I’m not running around town you can find me reading a good book.

A SAVIOR IS BORN hosted by PETE BRISCOE

 Has Christmas lost its significance?

It's one of the most familiar stories in human history: the birth of Jesus in a lowly manger in Bethlehem. A Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Yet, how can we prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of our Savior in our frantic, consumer-driven society? How do we make sure the Christmas holiday remains a Holy Day?
