Mission Committee

Missions involves the church in various projects to help the poor, salary support for missionaries in Zimbabwe, the Food Resource Bank, Crop Walk and kits for Nigeria and UMCOR

 

We will once again have Poinsettas for sale.  Cost is $8.50 each.  Alternative Giving to be announced.  

 

 

Holiday Network

We are thinking about Christmas and we have not yet celebrated Thanksgiving but we want to give you time to shop.

FUMC will be collecting socks and underwear for the Holiday Network.  We need socks and underwear in school children sizes.  There are holiday wrapped boxes at the back of the sanctuary and in the atrium for you to leave your donations.   The Mission Committee thanks you for your donations.

Upcoming Events

Palm Sunday - April 14th - 9:30 A.M.

The Chacel Choir will share their Easter Cantata.

 

Holy Thursday - April 18th - 7:00 P.M.    

A meaning service recalling the last supper of our Lord, the prayer in the garden, and Jesus'arrest.

Taking Holy Communion and a foot-washing ceremony will be part of the service.

 

Good Friday - April 19th - 7:00 P.M.  

The Victory Center will present "The Witness" - a dramatic presentation about the life of Jesus.

 

EASTER SUNDAY  

Sunrise Service at 7:00 A.M. on the riverfront            Meet on the deck of the Candlelight Restaurant.

      Easter Celebration Service  - 9:30 A.M.                In the Sanctuary.  Refreshments will be served by the                                       RENEW Student Ministries.
