Children's ChurchChildren's Church

Children's Church has reconvened, with a brand new theme, "Backyard Believers!"  Although we meet up in the Chapel in the Sky on the third floor of the Ed. Building, it will seem like we are outdoors.  During our weekly lessons, we will hear from our caterpillar friends, Hermie and Wormy, and other critters you might find living in your backyard.  They will share stories that will teach character traits, such as friendship, humility, righteousness, perseverance, and other virtues.

Children's Church is held most every Sunday during the 11:00 a.m. service.  Children in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to come join us each week, following the Young Disciples Time.  Younger children are encouraged to go to the Toddler Room on the second floor, where two nursery staff and volunteer assistants are available to supervise the activities.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Paul Hopkins at 563-242-4913 or phopkins1@q.com.

A SAVIOR IS BORN hosted by PETE BRISCOE

 Has Christmas lost its significance?

It's one of the most familiar stories in human history: the birth of Jesus in a lowly manger in Bethlehem. A Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Yet, how can we prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of our Savior in our frantic, consumer-driven society? How do we make sure the Christmas holiday remains a Holy Day?
